Not exactly high surf!
Fished our little quarter acre pond for the first time today and managed this largemouth just a bit bigger than the swimming lure I was using. Not a bad achievement given the size of the honey hole — needed a perfect cast just to get the lure to swim 6 feet before hanging on a clump of weeds. Getting the water level up in the pond should help a lot – the clear areas are about 4′ deep, while the vegetated areas are more in the 2-3′ range.
